Jakarta-Surabaya High Speed Train to Collaborate with China
SEAToday.com, Jakarta. - The Jakarta-Surabaya High Speed Railway will be worked on together with China. According to Deputy Minister of SOEs Kartika Wirjoatmodjo on Tuesday (10/31), the contract extension had been agreed upon in the signing between China and Indonesia. Currently, studies related to this train are being studied together with China Railway Group Limited (CREC).
The Indonesian government is confident that it can continue the Jakarta-Surabaya High Speed Railway project with capital from experience working on the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway. However, there are still several challenges that must be resolved in this development process, one of which is land acquisition.
