SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Working hours vary significantly from one country to another.
According to the International Labour Organization (ILO) data as of January 11, 2024, Bhutan tops the list with an average of 54.4 hours of work per week, while Vanuatu has the shortest workweek at just 24.7 hours.
In Southeast Asia, Indonesia ranks second with the least number of average working hours at 40 hours per week, or approximately 8 hours a day per 5 working days.
