SEAToday.com, United States - Vermont State University in the United States awarded an honorary degree of “Doctor in Litter-ature” to a cat named Max Dow.
Quoted from the instagram post, Max also received a number of facilities. “With the approval of the faculty, the Board of Trustees of the Vermont State College of Cats has conferred the prestigious title of Doctor of Litter-ature to Max Dow, complete with all catnip perks, scratching privileges, and responsibility for his litter box.”
Max was originally a stray cat adopted by Ashley Dow and has lived in a house near the campus for the past five years. This is why Max often comes to campus and many students even pick him up and take selfies with him. Max also often walks with prospective students in the building opposite his house.
In addition, the campus also considers Max as emotional support provider to students on campus.
