SEAToday.com, Jakarta-The movie How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies became the bestselling Thai movie in Indonesia. According to Instagram account @klikfilm, the movie has garnered 1,356,601 viewers in the first ten days of its release.

The movie, filled with Thai-Chinese cultural background, explores the relationship between M and his grandmother called Amah. M, who dropped out of school, struggled to earn money. When his grandmother was diagnosed with cancer, he saw it as a chance to make money.

The movie was released in Thailand on April 4, 2024, and hit the Indonesian cinemas on May 15, 2024. Indonesia became the first foreign country that aired the movie in cinemas.

The director of “How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies” Pat Boonnitipat recently came to Indonesia and expressed his surprise over how well the movie is doing in the country. He also revealed he wanted to bring an Indonesian theme to his movie, although he has to study it first
