SEAToday.com, South Korea - The Indonesian cinema has once again shown its potential on the international stage. One of them was at the 2024 Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) which took place July 4-14 in South Korea.
There were three Indonesian horror films shown at the festival, including “Siksa Kubur” in the MadMaxX program on Saturday (6/7) at Bucheon City Hall Main Theater, “Possession: Kerasukan” in the Adrenaline Ride program on Sunday (7/7) at CGV Sopung, Bucheon, and “Malam Pencabut Nyawa” on Monday (8/7) at CGV Sopung, Bucheon.
In addition, there are five Indonesian films participating in NAFF Project Spotlight, namely “Virgin Bash”, “Dancing Gale”, “Mad of Madness”, “Into the Woods”, and “The Hidden Flowers”.
NAFF Project Spotlight aims to highlight genre films, showcase the strengths of genre films from the selected countries, and contribute to the strengthening of the Asian film industry network. The films are presented in front of global film industry professionals.
