SEAToday.com, Seoul - BTS' Jin will be making history as a torchbearer for the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics on July 26. This marks the first time a member of the global K-pop group will participate in the Olympic Games. Jin's selection is likely due to his popularity and the massive international fanbase of BTS.
As reported by Yonhap on Tuesday (2/7), Jin will be leaving for France in the near future to take part in the torch relay. However, the exact location and schedule for his participation have not yet been disclosed.
He'll be joining a group of roughly 11,000 torchbearers, including famous athletes, Holocaust survivors, relatives of Nice terror attack victims, astronauts, and sanitation workers. Additionally, over 15,000 participants from 206 nations will compete across 32 sports in 329 events.
The 2024 Olympics will take place in France on July 26 to August 11, 2024.
